This DIY repair guide explains how to replace the resistance motor on an elliptical. Follow these steps to replace the resistance motor in Weslo, Lifestyler, NordicTrack , ProForm and Image elliptical exercisers.

Instructions:

1. Release the lower upright cover
2. Remove the left pedal arm
3. Remove the left shield
4. Release the resistance motor
5. Disconnect the cable
6. Remove the resistance motor
7. Install the new resistance motor
8. Reinstall the left shield
9. Reinstall the left pedal arm
10.Reinstall the lower upright cover
