Model Numbers are Unique Identifiers, they are important because they lead you to access diagrams and part lists specific to the version of a given model equipment you own. Bottom line, they help you get the right part. Note: Sometimes we put a serial prefix in this field to elicit versioning, and if this field is blank that means the model name alone will suffice for part selection.
